The Most Illustrious Order of St. Patrick, a rare mid-Victorian Grand Master’s set of insignia, comprising an unusually fine neck badge by West & Son, Dublin, 95mm high, 18 carat gold and enamels, the reverse of the circular pendant badge stamped west & son 18ct, suspended from a finely chased and engraved Irish harp and surmounted by a jewelled and enamelled Imperial Crown, the reverse of the crown fitted with adjustable gold screw loop suspension; and breast star, 93 x 83mm, silver with gold and enamel appliqué centre, the reverse unmarked and fitted with gold pin for wearing, circa 1880, the set contained in a modern fitted leather case, small restoration to ermine band of the crown, otherwise extremely fine (2) £6000-8000
