Distinguished Conduct Medal, G.V.R. (7387 Cpl., 1/Nth’ld. Fus.); 1914 Star, with clasp (7387 Pte., 1/North’d. Fus.); British War and Victory Medals (7387 A-Sjt., North’d Fus.) naming weak in places on last medal, otherwise generally nearly very fine (4) £1200-1400

D.C.M. London Gazette 30 June 1915: ‘For conspicuous gallantry at St Eloi on the night of 14 April 1915 when, after extricating himself from the ruins of a fortified house which had been blown up by a mine, he assisted to extricate his men and restored order with great coolness.’
