Henry Howes was the son of Mr and Mrs T. Howes of Great Yarmouth, and the husband of May Howes of 19, Row 31, North Quay, Great Yarmouth. He served during the Great War with the 2nd Battalion, Norfolk Regiment, and was killed in action whilst serving in Salonika, 9 December 1915. Private Howes is commemorated on the Doiran Memorial, Greece.

Robert Clarke was born in Hainford, Norwich. He served during the Great War with the 1st Battalion, Norfolk Regiment in the French theatre of war from 27 August 1914 (entitled to 1914 Star). Clarke was killed in action on the Western Front, 23 April 1917. Private Clarke is buried in La Chaudiere Military Cemetery, Vimy, France.
