Writing in SC (p. 455) Hailstone makes a pertinent observation concerning Charles II Halfcrowns: noting their scarcity in the higher grades he comments “a good fine condition specimen is, however, still an attractive coin...” It is an opinion with which the cataloguers wholeheartedly agree.
