PUNJAB 1849, 2 clasps, Mooltan, Goojerat (Captn. G.S. Moore, 32nd Foot)possible official correction to one letter of suruame, otherwise dark toned, good very fine

Captain George Samuel Moore was present at the first and second sieges before Mooltan, including the attack on the suburbs on 27 December 1848, and at the battle of Goojerat. Captain Moore retired by sale of his commission in 1851. It is believed that he was related to Captain John Moore of the same regiment who won everlasting fame for his great courage during the epic defence of Cawnpore in June 1857, where he was among those massacred.
