Ralph Hebdon was born in Barnard Castle and enlisted at Bishop Auckland. Serving as a Corporal in the 1/6th Battalion Durham Light Infantry, he was killed in action on 5 November 1916. He was buried in the Warlencourt British Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France.
