With a number of original documents, including his commission document as a Sub-Lieutenant in the R.N.R., dated 21 May 1915; a document appointing him Temporary Sub-Lieutenant, R.N.R., of H.M.S. Cyclops ‘additional for service in connection with the Scapa Flow Boom Defences’, dated 21 May 1915; another appointing him Temporary Lieutenant, R.N.R., of the same ship and service, dated 11 May 1916; another appointing him Temporary Lieutenant, R.N.R., of H.M.S. Attentive III ‘additional for command of Barrage Vessel No. 1’, dated 15 April 1918; Certificates of Service (4) for Imperieuse as Sub-Lieutenant, 21 May-30 July 1915; for Cyclops as Sub-Lieutenant and Lieutenant, 31 May 1915-15 March 1918; for ‘B.V. No. 1, as Lieutenant, 10 July-23 November 1918; and for B.V. No. 1, as Lieutenant in Command, 25 November 1918-1 February 1919. Also with Certificate of Demobilisation, 15 June 1919 and part of the registered envelope which contained his medals. Together with some copied research.
