Memorial Plaque 1914-18 (2) (Lewis John Morgan; John Joseph Edward Poole) good very fine and better (2) £70-90

Lewis John Morgan was born in and enlisted at Ebbw Vale, Monmouthshire. Serving with the 10th Battalion South Wales Borderers, he died of wounds, France/Flanders, on 9 October 1918, aged 21 years. He was buried in the Tincourt New British Cemetery, Somme, France. He was the son of Mr and Mrs David John Morgan of 20 Third Row, Newtown, Ebbw Vale.

Air Mechanic 2nd Class John Joseph Edward Poole, 6th Squadron, R.A.F., died on 14 August 1918, aged 25 years. He was buried in the Abbeville Communal Cemetery Extension. He was the son of Edward and Lily Annie Poole of Lucas Villas, Pye Bridge, near Alfreton, Derbyshire.
