Patrick Miskell was born at Anascrigh, County Galway, and enlisted at Warrington for the 39th Brigade on 18 September 1879, joining the 75th Regiment (Gordon Highlanders) at Aldershot four days later. He served with the 1st Battalion in Egypt in 1882, including the battle of Tel-el-Kebir, in the Eastern Soudan in 1884, and with the Nile Expedition in 1884-85. He was finally discharged in September 1891. Sold with copy service papers.
